Ring Terminals

Ring terminals fasten around bolts or threaded connection posts to create semipermanent connections between wires and circuit points. Also known as ring connectors, they connect power or ground wires to post-type connections in high-vibration applications, such as automobiles, airplanes, and industrial equipment. They have a barrel-shaped body where the stripped conductors fit into. Conductors are either crimped or soldered in the barrel and have a round, tongue-style terminal that's flat and has mounting holes for fastening to connection points.

Non-Insulated Ring Terminals
These ring terminals have no insulation and provide an unobstructed view of their barrel for more precise crimping and to allow inspection of the wire contact and tensile strength. Non-insulated ring terminals are suitable for higher voltage applications but should never be used in corrosive environments or anywhere the connection might get inadvertently touched.
