Street Light Disconnects

Street light disconnects are waterproof plug-and-socket connectors that supply power to outdoor lights and fixtures. They pull apart and have clear markings to help first responders and maintenance workers identify their line and load connectors to safely disconnect and de-energize the fixture for maintenance and in emergencies. These disconnects are insulated and either fused or nonfused: fused disconnects are for transferring power and have a fuse that will blow if the connection experiences an electrical overload; nonfused disconnects are used to transfer neutral connections. They install inside junction boxes and freestanding electrical fixtures that get wet or exposed to weather such as roadway lights, parking lot lights, street lamps, and charging stations.
