Twist-On Wire Connectors

Twist-on wire connectors create semipermanent connections between two or more wires without the need for crimping or soldering tools. Also known as wire nuts, they install by hand and are used in low-voltage applications to extend or terminate electrical and ground connections such as light switches, fixtures, and electronic devices. They have insulated shells with an opening where stripped wires insert and a beveled metal coil that, when twisted around the wires, digs into the conductors to hold and connect them.

The shells of these twist-on connectors insulate and protect conductors from high temperatures. They are suitable for applications, such as ovens and furnaces, commercial lights and signs, and appliances.

Aluminum & Copper Compatible Twist-On Wire Connectors
These twist-on connectors create secure connections between aluminum and copper wires. They have a prefilled anticorrosive compound that engulfs the conductors when the wires insert into them to prevent air pockets from forming and exposing the aluminum conductor to oxidation, and a grommet-style entrance that pushes in with the conductors to help cover the connection and contain the filling compound. These connectors are suitable for splicing copper wiring to aluminum branch circuit wiring in older buildings and homes.
