Mechanical lugs and wire connectors use setscrews, clamps, and other connectors that compress cables and heavier gauge conductors to extend, splice, or terminate them. They're made of conductive materials and facilitate the transfer and grounding of power through wires. They have mounting holes for attaching to surfaces, connection posts, and other terminals.

In-line splice mechanical connectors make end-to-end connections between heavier gauge conductors to extend or splice power and ground connections. They consist of a rectangular metal body with openings on both ends where the conductors insert into each end and butt against each other and then tighten down with a setscrew to hold and splice them.
