Hazardous Location Access Fittings

These fittings join lengths of heavy-wall RMC and medium-wall IMC metal conduit together and have an opening that allows access to the wire or cable inside. Also known as conduit bodies, they’re commonly used for pulling conductors or changing the direction of a conduit run, so they’re ideal for sections of the run that require regular maintenance or frequent modifications. These fittings are installed in hazardous industrial locations, such as petroleum refineries, gasoline storage areas, and petrochemical facilities. They form a tight seal to protect wire and cable in areas where flammable gases or vapors are present.

Covers for Conduit Access Fittings
These covers replace worn or damaged conduit access fitting covers or are used with fittings that don't include them. Covers screw onto the access fitting and, when used with a gasket, create a tight seal to protect the wire or cable within the fitting. Covers may be removed at any time to perform maintenance or make modifications.
