Bushings & Reducer Bushings for Heavy-Wall RMC & Medium-Wall IMC Metal Conduit
Available67 products
Bushings are generally used to provide a smooth surface for pulling wire and cable through heavy-wall RMC and medium-wall IMC metal conduit. Some types of bushings also allow for grounding, while others are used for reducing. Bushings screw onto the end of a piece of threaded conduit or can be used on the threaded box end of a conduit connector or electrical device. They’re often used in new construction and retrofit applications.
Bushings
Bushings prevent wire from being cut or nicked as it’s pulled through threaded RMC and IMC conduit or a connector. They screw onto the rough end of the conduit or connector.

Insulating Bushings
These bushings prevent wire from being cut or nicked as it’s pulled through threaded RMC and IMC conduit. They screw onto the rough end of the conduit and have a smooth, plastic liner that won’t damage the wire.

Grounding Bushings
These bushings ground threaded RMC and IMC conduit, which helps protect against electrical overloads. After it’s screwed onto the conduit, the set screw on the grounding lug can be loosened to insert the ground wire. When the set screw is tightened again, it compresses the ground wire to the lug. This creates a ground between the lug, bushing, and conduit.

Reducing Bushings
Reducing bushings adapt narrow, threaded RMC and IMC conduit to fit in larger knockouts. They have larger, exterior threads that screw into the knockout. The smaller, interior threads allow the conduit to be screwed into the bushing.
