Single-Sided Splicing Tape

This single-sided splicing tape is a thin, high-strength tape that joins two materials to increase their overall length or to join two rolls of material together. It has a backing made of paper or film. A paper backing is repulpable and suitable for use in paper milling processes. Film tapes with a polyester, polyethylene, or UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) backing are intended for more rigorous splicing applications. Reflective splicing tape has a metalized-coating that provides easier detection in film splicing applications.

Reflective Polyester Splicing Tape
This single-sided polyester-backed splicing tape has a reflective, metalized coating. The reflective coating is lighter weight than other metal-coated tape and provides easy detection of spliced surfaces. It is primarily used for splicing film.
