Single-Sided Splicing Tape

This single-sided splicing tape is a thin, high-strength tape that joins two materials to increase their overall length or to join two rolls of material together. It has a backing made of paper or film. A paper backing is repulpable and suitable for use in paper milling processes. Film tapes with a polyester, polyethylene, or UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) backing are intended for more rigorous splicing applications. Reflective splicing tape has a metalized-coating that provides easier detection in film splicing applications.

This single-sided paper splicing tape is repulpable, eliminating the need to remove it from discarded paper. This tape is primarily used for holding, splicing, roll closing, and core starting of paper in milling and web printing processes.
