These continuous rolls and precut shapes of tape are used for mounting materials and bonding surfaces together when pressure is applied. Double-sided foam and film mounting tape are conformable and have a double-sided adhesive with a pull-away liner. They are primarily used for mounting signs, nameplates, and dispensers to walls and doors. Very High Bond (VHB) tape is a high-strength, double-sided tape that can replace mechanical fasteners such as screws, spot welds, and rivets. Splicing tape is a thin, strong, single- or double-sided tape that joins two materials together to increase their overall length, or to join two rolls of material. Carpet-mounting tape is a double-sided, cloth-backed tape with a rubber adhesive. Dispensers are available for certain types of tape and can help in repetitive applications.
