Mortar, Grout & Joint Sand

Available14 products
Mortar, grout, and joint sand work with construction components to build, hold, and secure structures together. Mortar is primarily applied to adhere blocks and bricks in walls and chimney structures. Grout anchors posts, railings, and bolts into concrete. Joint sand fills and seals the seams between pavers in hardscaping.

Mortar

Mortar
Mortar is applied between concrete blocks, bricks, and stone to act as the glue when building walls, chimneys, or fire pits. It is lower strength than concrete and has a more malleable, creamy consistency. Its formulated to retain water and air and provides a breakable buffer between blocks and bricks when a wall shifts over time. Mortar can be reapplied to "repoint" a wall where mortar has cracked or crumbled away.

Joint Sand

Joint Sand
Joint sand, also referred to as paver sand, fills the space between pavers, stone, or brick in hardscape installations. Sand is poured and swept into the seams between the pavers and then sprayed with water. The water activates a chemical binder in the sand that acts as a sealant, preventing water from seeping between pavers and washing away the underlying soil. It also prevents weeds from growing and sprouting up between the joints.
