Order LookupPipe Thread Sealants
Available2 products
Pipe thread sealants are liquid sealants that apply directly to the threads of pipe and pipe fittings to create a seal that prevents loosening and leakage due to vibration. Also called pipe dope and pipe joint compound, they also seal out contaminants to protect the joint from corrosion and lubricate threads for easier assembly. Non-hardening sealants are commonly used in plumbing applications and allow for more ease in disassembly. Anaerobic sealants work with metal pipe and fittings in permanent assemblies that require a tight seal.
Series
Anaerobic Sealants for Refrigeration
These anaerobic pipe thread sealants work with metal pipe and fittings in refrigeration systems to seal joints and resist corrosion caused by refrigerants and solvents that flow in the pipe. They cure anaerobically, in the absence of air, and are used in paper processing plants, textile industries, and waste water treatment facilities where a tight, permanent seal is needed against the flow of strong chemicals.
