Pointed-End Cone Burs (SM)
Available58 products
Pointed-end cone burs (SM) finish and debur grooves, conical holes, and V-shaped slots that have a pointed bottom. The long, cone-shaped cutting head tapering to a pointed head access tight spaces and tapered openings, such as gear teeth. Cone-shaped burs have straight tapered sides for smoothing beveled and chamfered surfaces, while the short cutting area maneuvers into counterbored holes. Cutting edges are made from carbide, which is a hard material that resists wear and limits heat. Carbide burs attach to rotary power tools such as die grinders, high-speed engravers, and pendant drills.
Double-Cut Pointed-End Cone Burs
Double-cut pointed-end cone burs (SM) have crossing left- and right-hand flutes to quickly remove stock from steel, stainless steel, and other high-strength ferrous metals while leaving a smoother finish than single-cut burs.

Single-Cut Pointed-End Cone Burs
Single-cut pointed-end cone burs (SM) have parallel rows of right-hand spiral flutes to balance stock removal and finish. Single-cut burs are used in general applications to evacuate chips on most materials, including brass, copper, cast iron, and steel.
