Combi burs incorporate two geometries (or shapes) on a single bur to extend deburring capabilities and reduce time it takes to change out burs for different applications. The cutting edges are made from carbide, which is a hard material that resists wear and limits heat production.
Cylinder/Cone Combi Burs
Cylinder/cone combi burs have a straight, barrel-shaped body and a pointed end. The body is used for general deburring and finishing of flat surfaces and interior contoured surfaces, and right-angle corners. The pointed end has straight tapered sides for counterboring and smoothing beveled and chamfered surfaces

Cylinder/Inverted Cone Combi Burs
Cylinder/inverted cone combi burs have straight, barrel-shaped body at the end that tapers slightly toward the shaft, making it wider at the tip. The body is used for general deburring and finishing of flat surfaces and interior contoured surfaces, and right-angle corners. The inverted cone taper finish and debur inside edges and inverted slots and holes.

Ball-Nosed Cone/Inverted Cone Combi Burs
Ball-nosed cone/inverted cone combi burs flare at the center of the bur and taper to each end with a rounded end at the tip. The ball-nosed tip contours surfaces and deburs and finishes tapered openings with a round bottom. The long, cone-shaped head fits into narrow angles, tight spots, and areas that are difficult to access. The inverted cone taper finish and debur inside edges and inverted slots and holes.
