Press fitting tools, jaws, and rings work together to join lengths of pipe with press fittings. They make connections on dry or wet systems, so there's no need to drain pipe before installing the fittings. Press fitting provides faster installation and more uniform connections than brazing or soldering and eliminates hazards from heat, open flames, and fumes. Press fitting tools squeeze jaws and rings around press fittings to seal the fittings against pipe. Actuators pinch together the ends of rings to close the rings around press fittings and squeeze the fittings onto pipe.
