Flat Idler Pulleys
Flat idler pulleys work with flat belts or the back side of V-belts or timing belts to position them away from obstacles. They are often used as belt tighteners to take up belt slack and maintain consistent tension to reduce slipping and ensure proper performance of the drive system. Idlers typically spin freely on a shaft that does not transmit power and can reduce vibration and wear on the belt. They must be matched with a compatible belt size.
Flat Idler Pulleys with Flange
Flat idler pulleys with flanges feature a locating lip on each side to maintain belt positioning on the pulley. They work in applications with long distances between pulleys.
