Tapping heads mount to the spindle of a drill press or milling machine and hold taps for creating threads in holes. Sometimes called tap holders, they have a shank that connects to the machine spindle and a bore that holds the tap.
Self-Reversing Tapping Heads
Self-reversing tapping heads automatically back out of the hole when it reaches the desired thread depth so there's no need to stop and manually reverse the spindle to reduce cycle time to speed productivity.
