Milling chucks lock end mills onto a milling machine for accurate, high-speed machining. They provide more gripping force than collets and end mill holders to keep tools from pulling out during heavy machining operations. They also dampen vibration to reduce chatter. Milling chucks have a shank that mounts to a machine spindle and a finished bore that holds a compatible end mill.
